This long awaited book by the Master of Royal Icing, Eddie Spence, is an absolute gem. To those (many) who have been fortunate enough to know and learn from Eddie, it captures the essence of him from the opening pages of Eddie's life story, through every page of teaching and information. It is clearly laid out, and the range of projects give the learner the opportunity to develop their Royal Icing skills 'Eddie's way' - whilst at the same time being adaptable to re-design and new interpretation. The important building blocks are there, re-iterating the skills that Eddie has taught so tirelessly, for so many years, to so many students. I am sure I will be amongst many in being eternally grateful for at last having some of Eddie's wisdom in print.
